Rental terms

1. Booking and payment

• Prices are per 24 hours, cash. Paying by card adds 10%. One rental day is a full 24 hours.
• The minimum rental is 1 day for Jeeps and 3 days for cars.
• Send a booking request first. We confirm availability by email.
• The full amount is paid at pickup, in cash or by card.
• The rental agreement you sign at pickup is the binding contract. If anything on this page differs from it, the signed agreement applies.

2. Cancellation

Nothing is paid before pickup. If your plans change, let us know as soon as you can.

3. Security deposit

We need a major credit card for the security deposit at pickup: $300 for cars and SUVs, $500 for Jeeps.

4. Drivers

• Drivers must be at least 23 years old and hold a valid driver's license.
• Only the renter and the additional driver named in the agreement may drive. One additional driver costs $10 a day.
• If a driver who is not named in the agreement has an accident, the insurance is void and the renter is responsible for all direct and indirect loss.
• Driving faster than the speed limit is not allowed and voids the insurance. Slow down on wet roads.
• The renter pays all parking and traffic fines.

5. Pickup, return and hours

• Pickup and return are from 8 am to 6 pm. Earlier or later is possible by arrangement, at extra cost, but never before 7 am or after 10 pm.
• We take photos and video of the vehicle with you at delivery. By signing, you accept the condition of the vehicle.
• Return the vehicle at the agreed time and place. If anything changes (time, date or place), let us know by phone: +297 594 3050 or +297 587 6429.
• Late returns are charged by the hour (see fees).

6. Delivery

Delivery is free in Oranjestad, Noord and Palm Beach, including Queen Beatrix Airport and the cruise port. Further out, we agree the delivery fee with you. For airport delivery, send us your flight number and arrival time.

7. Fuel and mileage

• Mileage is unlimited.
• Fuel is not included in the price. Return the vehicle with the same fuel level you received it with. Each missing 1/8 of a tank costs $25. Extra fuel is not refunded.

8. Where you may drive

• Jeeps and the Isuzu MU-X 4x4 may go all over the island, Arikok National Park included, except white sand and dunes.
• All other cars are for paved roads only.
• Damage caused off the road, on white sand or dunes, or by driving through water is not covered by the rental price or any insurance, and is paid by the renter.

9. Insurance

Third-party liability is included in every rental. Extra insurance is optional and costs $25 a day.

The extra insurance does not cover speeding, hitting rocks or stones, off-road driving, white sand and dunes, tire repair or replacement, towing, or vandalism.

After an accident, theft or damage, give us a police report and the vehicle key. Without them, the insurance does not apply. Any cover from your credit card company is between you and that company.

10. Accidents and breakdowns

• After an accident, call the police (100) and forensics (165), then call us. We help you get the information you need. A police accident report must be filled out.
• Roadside assistance is available 24/7: +1-888-948-8878 or road service +297 568 6464.
• We help with a dead battery, a flat tire (the tire itself is not included) or a lockout for $20 during office hours and $30 after hours.

11. Damage and responsibility

• The renter is responsible for the vehicle at all times, including water damage inside. Soft-top Jeeps must be closed overnight and whenever it rains.
• Damage and losses are charged at dealer prices.
• Damage must be paid before you leave the island. You authorise us to charge your credit card for damage, towing and loss.
• Your responsibility is never more than the full value of the vehicle at the time it was lost or damaged, plus towing, storage and survey costs and a reasonable charge for the time the vehicle cannot be rented.
• We are not responsible for personal belongings left in the vehicle.

• When you send a booking request, we receive what you enter: your name, email, phone number, country, dates, places, vehicle, extras and message.
• We use it only to answer and handle your booking. The request is sent to our reservations inbox by email through our email provider.
• We do not sell your details or use them for advertising.
• To see or delete what we have about you, email reservations@arubajeeprent.com.
